Want to buy a car?

Well to avoid disappointments you need to get as much info as possible about the vehicle yo intend to buy. Below is a guide to helping one buy a new car (especially first owners) :
  • Budget - always keep in mind the cost of insurance, registration and other incidentals
  • Needs- What is your primary purpose for buying the car? is it for city driving, i.e commuting from home to work, are you a frequent upcountry (off-road traveler) e.t.c all these factors affect your choice of car.
  • History of the vehicle- this includes clocking i.e mileage, body condition, interior and upholstery, always ask for service records if possible. (contrary to popular belief, even digital odometers can be altered and reversed electronically by computers.)
  • Due diligence- All said and done always ask and verify details such as Vehicle identification Number(VIN), Engine and Chassis numbers. This details can help you verify that the vehicle is genuine and not stolen.
These are the basic precautions you can take but always take time and do proper research.
